Department of Mathematics

The study and research focus in our department is on the theory and application of five key subjects: algebra, analysis, geometry, mathematical analysis of information, and computer science. As well as acquiring computational skills, students develop a mathematical sensibility and the ability to think logically. This enables them to describe phenomena and solve problems from a mathematical perspective. They also work to gain skills demanded in the real world, by acquiring qualifications in areas such as programming and teaching.

  • The curriculum provides students with a systematic education, starting with the basics, and develops their ability to think logically and enhance their inspiration and sensibility.
  • The department places an emphasis on programming education and runs its own dedicated computer rooms (two classrooms and one server room).
  • Approximately 60% of students acquire a teaching qualification—something that is in high demand in both the education and software development industries.
