Through holistic, systematic study in the disciplines of engineering, technology, and the arts, students in this department learn how to build comfortable structures with an emphasis on aesthetics, safety, functionality, and economy. The department's goal is to turn out graduates whose acquisition of the fundamental knowledge and advanced skills needed by structural engineers and architects allow them to make a meaningful contribution to society.

  • A complete curriculum covering the basics of architecture is offered. Many graduates with a degree pass the first-class architect's exam in Japan. The number of qualified graduates is at the top class in the Chubu region and among the top for the entire country.
  • We offer the Comprehensive Architecture Program, certified by JABEE (Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education).
  • About 35% of the students are female. They go on to play an important role in society after graduation.
