The Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo held a celebration on the night of November 21 before the Nobel Prize awards ceremony to be held in Stockholm. Professor Akasaki and Professor Amano at Nagoya University, 2014 Nobel Prize laureates in Physics, were invited to the party along with many distinguished guests. Japanese Nobel Prize laureates from past years also attended the party to celebrate and shared their experiences at the ceremony with Professor Akasaki and Professor Amano.

The Nobel Prize Award Ceremony will take place at a concert hall in Stockholm on December 10 at 16:00 local time (December 11 at midnight Japan time).
